Emily Ramon
PT, DPT, NCS
Dr. Emily Ramon is a Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist in Physical Therapy at Re+active Physical Therapy and Wellness in Los Angeles, California. In her current role, Dr. Ramon takes on multiple responsibilities, including serving as the Clinic Director, Parkinson’s Disease Integrated Therapy Program Director, Wellness Program Director, outpatient neuro lead physical therapist, and primary mentor in the Schmidt Movement Disorders Fellowship.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Ramon is deeply engaged in academia. She frequently guest lectures at various Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs, focusing on the clinical management of patients with Functional Neurologic Disorder (FND). She also leads an advanced fellowship minicourse on the transdisciplinary management of freezing of gait (FOG).
Previously, Dr. Ramon was a primary faculty member at the University of Miami and JRH Neurologic PT Residency programs, where she lectured on a range of topics, including Motor Learning, Multiple Sclerosis, Gait Analysis, Orthotic Prescription, Peripheral Nervous System Pathology, and Functional Movement Disorders.
Dr. Ramon has held leadership roles within the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy (ANPT), including serving on the ANPT Telehealth Taskforce and currently on the ANPT Health Promotion and Wellness Committee. In these roles, she contributed to the development of continuing education courses, educational resources, and has been a peer-reviewed author in the Journal of Neurologic Physical Therapy. Additionally, Dr. Ramon is currently writing chapters for the upcoming 5th edition of Neurointerventions, Martin and Kessler, covering topics such as Functional Neurologic Disorders (FND), the management of neurologic disabilities across the lifespan, and Parkinson’s Disease.
Dr. Ramon is particularly passionate about working with individuals with neurodegenerative conditions across the lifespan.
