When I was working in the field, I worked with just a few patients that used wheelchairs. The only thing I really played a part in were with transfers. I found that this course provided some additional and useful information to help keep wheelchair clients safe as well as comfortable while taking into account their current and future needs.

Good wheelchair & positioning information, but definitely misleading on insurance abilities of a "LTC" facility (question 3) being able to bill Med B for a wheelchair. If it is at a SNF or Skilled rehab it is not billable, and facilities must provide wheelchairs for Med A or Medicaid residents. But an ALF/Assisted Living Facility is considered a resident's "home" and Med B can be billed with appropriate prescription and use of Medicare DME company. At least this is true in my state of Colorado.

It was pretty basic and vague. It incorrectly inferred that Med B pays for wheelchairs in all LTC settings. If a LTC facility qualifies as a SNF because it provides skilled rehabilitation to short term patients, it is not considered a "home setting" and the residents who live there permanently do not qualify for Med B coverage of any DME.
