The unique collaboration and relationship between physical and occupational therapists throughout the evaluation and treatment of acute, subacute, and chronic stroke diagnoses will be analyzed in this two-part series. Part one will distinguish important stroke definitions used within the medical field and compare and contrast the differences between the acute and inpatient rehabilitation phases.

- After this course, participants will be able to examine 3 appropriate assessments to use during an acute care OT and PT evaluation based on the patient’s diagnosis.
- After this course, participants will be able to analyze at least 3 appropriate interventions during the inpatient rehabilitation phase based on the diagnosis and presentation of symptoms of the patient.
- After this course, participants will be able to recognize the importance of the interdisciplinary approach between physical and occupational therapy and discuss how to implement collaboration strategies during case studies.
