A case example will be presented to provide further instruction regarding clinical problem solving for a child with ITW. this course is directly related to the practice of physical therapy and is therefore appropriate for the PT and PTA.

Sally Le Cras, PT, DPT, PCS
Sally Le Cras, PT, DPT, PCS has practiced as a physical therapist for 26 years with most of her experience in area of pediatrics. She earned a Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree in 1992 and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2013 from Arcadia University. Sally became a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy (PCS) in 2008 and recertified in 2018. Having practiced in acute care/NICU, home care and outpatient pediatric physical therapy settings, she has worked at Cincinnati Children’s for 14 years and is a Physical Therapist III. Sally co-authored a Clinical Practice Guideline on conservative management of Idiopathic Toe Walking in 2011and is the leader of the APTA Guideline Development Group for ITW. Sally has spoken on this topic at local, state and national conferences. She provides serial casting, orthotic management, stretching, strengthening, postural control/motor control, locomotor and balance training interventions for children with Idiopathic Toe Walking in addition to treating a diverse population of children with developmental disabilities.
