Participants will be able to differentiate types of vestibular disorders that fit within our scope of practice and be able to determine when to treat, when to treat and refer, and when to refer a patient. Participants will be able to recognize those patients with common vestibular disorders and make appropriate clinical decisions for the management of these patients. This advanced level course is directly related to the practice of physical therapy and athletic training and is therefore appropriate for the PT/PTA and AT.
For this course, it is recommended to have two pens available to practice techniques discussed while the presenter is also demonstrating the technique/test.

John received his doctorate degree from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (2015) with a focus in Orthopaedic and Sports Science. John received a clinical doctorate and Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University. John is certified in orthopedics, neurologic, and sports by the ABPTS. John is a full-time faculty member at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. John practices at a pro bono clinic during the academic year and in an outpatient sports physical therapy clinic outside of the academic year.
