Hello Everyone,

I have some exciting news! It is with great pleasure that I announce the first virtual conference on PhysicalTherapy.com. Our first virtual conference, called Topics in Acute Care, will take place from April 7 through April 11. Our guest editor, Alisa Curry, PT, DPT, GTC, has set up a varied selection of fascinating courses, with topics ranging from ECG readings for acute care therapists to total joints to lab values. There will also be courses on ICU and the emergency room. Look for registration details in next week's email.

Be sure to take advantage of attending this live virtual conference if you want a unique learning experience while getting your CEUs. You’ll have the ability to ask questions and interact with the presenters, giving you a bespoke learning experience. If you are unable to attend, we will have the live events recorded and on the site within a week, so you can take the course at a time more convenient for you.

For those of you who can not attend, I want to offer you something special, participation by proxy. If you have been itching to ask one of our expert presenters a specific clinical question related to their topic, please send me an email with the question. If time permits, we will ask those questions at the end of the course (email below)!

March is Multiple Sclerosis month; all around the world, people will making a concerted effort to provide awareness of the scope of the disease. Worldwide 2.3 million are affected with symptoms like overwhelming fatigue, visual disturbances, altered sensation and difficulties with mobility. Physical therapists can help. Exercise has shown to help with several of the MS symptoms. The physical therapist’s role in tailoring exercise on an individual basis is critical to mitigating the symptoms of MS.  For further information, view Imbalance and Falls in People with Multiple Scelerosis by Michelle H.
