Courtney Mascio, OT/L, CLT, is the Professional Education Manager for the Lipedema Foundation. After receiving her B.S. in Exercise Science from Appalachian State University in 2010, she earned her M.S. in Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2014. Shortly after graduating from OT school, Courtney completed the required course to become a Certified Lymphedema Therapist. Since then, she has been passionate about serving the Lipedema community by advancing advocacy and raising awareness of the disease.
Over the past several years, Courtney has delivered numerous presentations on Lipedema to various healthcare professionals, emphasizing diagnostic protocols, management strategies, and the latest research on the disease. She has also played a significant role in live research events, including sample collection for a Lipedema-specific biobank established by the Lipedema Foundation.
