This workshop presents the why and how of functional aquatic exercises. The presentation includes evidenced-based exercises, including intensity progressions using the properties of the water and equipment options, to improve ability to perform ADLs. This course is directly related to the practice of physical therapy and athletic training and is therefore appropriate for the PT, PTA and AT.

Kimberly Huff, MS, CSCS, CHES has over 30 years’ experience in health and fitness. She is certified through ACSM, NSCA, AEA and ACE and is a Certified Health Education Specialist. Kim presents certification review courses and continuing education courses for ACSM and AEA, writes research reviews for the AEA AKWA Journal and is a contributing author to the AEA Arthritis Foundation Exercise and Aquatics Program.
