Jennifaye V. Brown, PT, MSPT, PhD, NCS, CAPS has 35 years of clinical experience focused in neurorehabilitation across the continuum of care and has presented numerous continuing education courses on adult neurologic assessment and treatment intervention for acquired brain injury, particularly stroke. Her primary research explored the perceptions of individuals with stroke regarding their experiences with AFO fabrication, modification, and maintenance, and how the AFO impacts walking and participation in life roles, resulting in the book, Brace Yourself - Everything You Need to Know About AFOs After Stroke. She is an NDT-trained therapist with six additional courses taken after the NDT (Bobath) Three Week Course on Treatment of Adult Hemiplegia course. As an Advanced Credentialed Clinical Instructor by the Clinical Instructor Education Board and a four 10-year term board-certified neurologic clinical specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) of the APTA, Dr. Brown has taught at six PT and two PTA programs. She is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist, a member of the APTA, Neurology Section of the APTA, SC Chapter of the APTA, and Athletics & Fitness Association of America, and a graduate of the prestigious APTA Fellowship in Education Leadership.
Gary Krasilovsky was Associate Professor and Department Chair of the Hunter College DPT Program of the City University of New York from 1992 to 2018. He has been a clinician, educator, and researcher for almost fifty years. Dr. Krasilovsky earned his Certificate in PT, MPT & PhD from NYU. He was a staff, senior & research physical therapist (PT) at NYU Rusk Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine, which included part-time PT in the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Clinic. He also received advanced training and mentoring in the electrodiagnostic department. In the Hunter PT Program, he taught clinical neurology, adult neurological rehabilitation, electroneuromyography, and therapeutic exercise. He has published in various peer-reviewed journals and textbooks on various areas related to physical therapy, with an emphasis on neurology-based topics. He has been involved in multiple design versions of the EMG biofeedback system that is today JOGO – Gx and is the Chief Scientific Officer of Jogo Health. Dr. Krasilovsky is also certified as a Schroth scoliosis therapist.
Dr. Jonathan Lee-Confer is an Assistant Professor in the Physical Therapy Department at the University of Arizona. He earned his PhD from the University of Southern California in the Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy Department, and his MS and BS from California State University, Sacramento, in the Kinesiology Department. Currently, Dr. Lee-Confer is the Vice Chair of Research for the ASTM International F13.40 Committee, where he develops walkway standards to promote the maintenance of safe walkways, and the Secretary General for the Arizona Falls Prevention Coalition, where he co-developed biomechanical training for all caregivers in Arizona for proper lift assistance.
