Presented By
Ben Wobker
PT, MSPT, CSCS, SFMAc
Born in Georgia in the 1970s, Ben spent most of his life in Seattle playing sports, traveling, and enjoying school. He began volunteering in an outpatient clinic at age 16 after a series of football injuries. He worked as an aide for the proceeding three years in Seattle and Montana while also taking on jobs at grocery, coaching, retail, waiting, construction, and bartending. After injuries ended his collegiate career, Ben completed his undergraduate work in psychology at the University of Montana with an emphasis on business, sociology, and exercise physiology. He continued his education at UM for his master's. Returning to Seattle was always in his plans, and he landed at a fast-paced corporate PT facility where it was the home of the Mariners. In an attempt to provide better care and enjoy patient care, Ben and his previous clinical instructor opened Redmond PT in 2002. After nearly a decade, Ben sold his practice to his partner and opened up Lake Washington Physical Therapy with his wife Sara, closer to the home they built. Their practice quickly became busy and has since opened six additional locations, with one more on the way in early 2025. Now, his group is home to over 50 PTs and 125 employees. He has been very conscious about the stress and anxiety that are leading to healthcare burnout. One of his group's goals is curbing attrition by employing methods to keep PTs treating in the profession.
