The purpose of this course is to define infection control and outline a clear rationale as to why it must be integrated into clinical practice. Main infection control precautions along with practical application of the material will be reviewed.

A.U. Bankaitis, PhD is a clinical audiologist and Vice President of Oaktree Products, Inc of St. Louis, MO, a multi-line distributor of hearing health care products. Dr. Bankaitis earned her doctorate from the University of Cincinnati in 1995 where her funded research investigated the effects of varying degrees of HIV on the auditory system.
