This course will present an appropriate configuration of ultralight manual wheelchairs to optimize self-propulsion efficiency. Increased efficiency decreases the risk of repetitive stress injuries and pain, as well as improves function.

Elder abuse and neglect and child abuse and neglect are harsh realities. This course will identify the physical, clinical, and behavioral indicators of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse needed to identify and report to appropriate agencies. Participants will gain an improved awareness of warning signs of abuse, the clinician's role in reporting abuse, and the steps for reporting abuse and getting proper assistance.

PTs and PTAs often treat patients with cardiovascular or pulmonary pathologies in home health soon after hospitalization or exacerbation. These patients are often physiologically unstable and require monitoring during progression of function and activity. This course will provide PTs and PTAs a guide to determining patient status and parameters for progression of rehab.
