Course Presenter
Guillermo Cutrone, PT, DSc, OCS, Cert. MDT, FAAOMPT
Dr. Cutrone holds a Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy Orthopedics. He is Certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy by the McKenzie Institute International, Board Certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. He is the Research Coordinator and Residency/Fellowship Team Leader for the Rehabilitation Services department at St. Vincent Hospitals in Indianapolis, Indiana, providing clinical instruction into the Evidence in Motion Post Graduate Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency and the Evidence in Motion Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship.
In addition, he is a faculty member and Coordinator of Practice and Clinical Outcomes for residency and fellowship programs with Evidence in Motion.
Dr. Cutrone is actively involved in a multi-center, observational cohort study with other MDT therapists utilizing FOTO (Focus On Therapeutic Outcomes). This team, PBE Research Network, is investigating, in clinical practice, patients with spinal impairments. One of the reports already published in the Journal of Manual & Manipulative Therapy (Vol. 18, No. 4, December 2010, “Prevalence of Classification Methods for Patients with Lumbar Impairments using the McKenzie Syndromes, Pain Pattern, Manipulation and Stabilization Clinical Prediction Rules”) was awarded the John Medeiros Distinguished Author Award 2010 for the most impactful paper published in JMMT.
Dr. Cutrone has presented in national and international orthopedic and sports Physical Therapy research meetings.
